Red Ventures Profiles
What sparked your interest in Red Ventures?
I was interviewing with a plethora of companies; however, the atmosphere at Red Ventures was more conducive to my work ethic. The promise was that, "We work hard and we play hard and we reward for performing at a high level." All of that has come to fruition.
What do you remember most about your interview process?
I remember interviewing with 1,283 people! At the time, I thought, "WOW, that's very intense." But now I can appreciate it because it's very difficult for five or six people to be wrong about a candidate. Plus, you get multiple perspectives as well.
What made you realize Red Ventures was the place for you?
I knew the first day. I believe that I adapted to the culture and environment almost immediately. Every business plan that I put together worked. It was either that or I'm incredibly lucky!
What is the best part about working at Red Ventures?
The people. There are so many people here with different types of humor. At any point during the day you can find a conversation that will absolutely crack you up! That keeps the day light and manageable.
How has your career progressed during your time at Red Ventures?
Yes. I was originally brought in to manage Radio Sales Group and once that was established and successful, I was asked to manage Security Choice. Doubled in sales since, by the way!
Finish this sentence: Red Ventures is...?
...the best career move that I have made. In my previous (publicly-traded) company life, I struggled with making decisions to please shareholders instead of for my people. Here at Red Ventures, I have the autonomy to make the decisions that best suit my people.
Where did you go on your last great vacation -OR- What are you doing this weekend?
Vacation? What's that? Just kidding...
